Lisa Thompson, LAMFT

I have worked with people from all walks of life, from infants to the elderly and everyone in between. My years of work in nursing homes, with birthing mothers, in treatment facilities, and caretaking of children lead me to pursue training in marriage and family therapy in 2013. As a therapist, I have supported a wide range of clients and have a special interest in children and the parent-child relationship. Currently I am working toward full licensure as an LMFT in Minnesota and working under the supervision of Tamera Mensink at TM Counseling.

I love to listen to the unique story of every person I meet. My hope is to be a supportive companion who can encourage and shed light on possibilities, hope, and the courage to change. You are the expert of your life, and the answers you seek lie within. My job is to help you connect and align with your inner wisdom. I have specialized training in Adlerian psychotherapy and play therapy, Sandplay, relational counseling, and mindfulness. My background in art helps me to integrate creative expression into sessions with both children and adults. I look forward to joining you on your journey!
